While sitting inside my booth at the 2nd Saturday Long Beach Artwalk in December, I ran into an old friend from college. After he saw all of my photography and various collage elements, he started talking to me about doing a collaborative calendar of various artist in the Long Beach community. As the conversation went on, he asked if I would be interested to participate. Of course I was! I love my Long Beach community and the power artist have when they collaborate. He looked through my website in search of a few photos to incorporate in his 2012-2013 calendar. As shown in the pictures below, you can see I sent him one of my favorite pictures from the Los Angeles Zoo. I was so amazed watching all of these chimpanzees play with one another and communicate through hand gestures. Even just the way they looked at humans... was so intriguing... these animals are definitely our brothers and sisters. This calendar was distributed out to BEE LOVE's family and friends as a Christmas present. What better way to show your appreciation for the art community than to gather local artists and give their talents as a gift to your loved ones! I am extremely thankful to have one of my photographs along with a link to my website in this BEE LOVE calendar! If you are one of those lucky beings who received a calendar and are reading this, feel free to email or call with any questions! If you don't have one, you can have my copy and please still call or email with any questions. I would love to do more collaborative projects -- we are very powerful beings when we work with one another!
I am in love with life and all those in it.
