Growing up, I didn't realize how blessed I was to spend a week of every summer in Northern California
in Aptos, Santa Cruz and San Jose as I have family up there.
It's been years since I've been up that way and had the opportunity to spend some time over Thanksgiving with my family in Aptos, CA which is right below Santa Cruz.
For the first time in the many, many trips I've taken to my grandfather's beach house,
I looked at my surrounding in a whole new light.
The colors of the old beach wood and dynamic sunsets intrigued me more than ever.
I spent a lot of time walking around and riding bikes taking in all my surrounding
and documenting that which spoke to me most!
Not only did I get to play around the beach house for days, but I was able to go on a morning hike with my brothers in Niesene Marks State Park right in Aptos!
This place was absolutely beautiful -- crisp, crisp cold air, luscious green trees covered in moss, ice cold water flowing down a stream in the middle of the forest!
Below are a few of my favorite images for this adventure! I am truly so blessed with my surroundings!
I am in love with life and all those in it.
