I was so blown away when I opened my email to see a message from Randi and Addison Evans asking me to photograph their beautiful beach wedding in August. What an absolute honor, not only because I was so thankful to be the person capturing their special day, but also because they met at a party at my house a couple years back! We spoke several times prior to the wedding to ensure I had a list of special shots they wanted from this spectacular day along with the timeline of events! Sunday, August 28th, 2011 came faster than imagined. I arrived at Randi's sisters house to capture Randi getting ready! Shortly after we all drove down to the beach cabin at Del Mar Beach on Camp Pendleton. I was able to capture some more shots of the women getting ready and then onto the motor home where Addison was getting ready. A large vehicle full of men celebrating Addison's special day -- they were drinking, laughing and having a wonderful time. I captured Addison putting on his "Blues." Every shot I took his smile was so big it almost didn't fit inside the shot! While capturing these photos, my insides warmed and I then too had an enormous smile on my face. I, as the photographer was so fortunate to not only get to capture the bride getting ready, but also the groom while both of them were smiling so bright in two separate locations. Again, before we knew it, time went by so quickly and the ceremony was about to begin. I went back over to the cabin to photograph Randi putting on her dress with her sister zipping it up, her mother fastening her sparkling bracelet and the flower girl putting on her shoes. What a special moment! The bride's and her bridesmaids were driven to the ceremony, where her father was there to greet her! When I saw the look in Randi's dads eyes, my eyes began to get watery -- this was one of the most special moments of the entire day! From there on out, the rest of the night was beautifully stunning and smooth. Randi and Addison's ceremony was humorous and romantic. Dinner was seamless. First dances were awe dropping. Dancing was lively and entertaining. Cake sharing was adorably silly. Breathtaking moments were captured at the most precious times. Of all of these unbelievably beautiful moments, my favorite and most impactful time at the Evan's Wedding was when I spent an hour with Randi and Addison on the beach taking pictures of just the two of them after the wedding party and family pictures were taken. These 60 minutes with the two of them in complete bliss holding and kissing one another was some of the most inspirational moments. Love was radiating off the two of them -- their glow was priceless. I have chills running through my body as I write this thinking about those very moments. I am so thankful to have experienced this special day with both Randi and Addison and to have been the soul capturing these life altering moments. Randi and Addison, thank you for letting me be such an integral part of your special day! Below are a couple of my favorite pictures from their day.
