Do you ever have a feeling of just needing to go on an adventure? To go some place new?
To see something never before seen or captured by YOUR eye?
For me, that feeling arises quite often. Our world is abundant. We are like a grain of sand within the ocean.
There is so much to adventure, to experience, to see, to understand by actually being there oneself.
About a month back I wanted a new adventure, wanted to capture a new perspective of the state in which I live. So I packed my car for the weekend, drove up through central California -- close to the Oregon border, down to San Francisco to stay with a few friends for the weekend, and eventually drove along PCH into Santa Barbara for dinner and back to Long Beach. There is so much joy that comes from a weekend adventure through our beautiful state. Below are not only three of my favorite pictures from the weekend, but three of my favorite moments I’ve experienced and then captured to spread to others. The first image is right as the sun was coming up along the 5 North. The air was crisp, the clouds were dark and low – with hits of brightness coming through, the grass with a hundred different shades of browns and tans, my music was low and my spirit was lifted so very high!
The moment seemed all to perfect! I hesitated for several minutes before I pulled over and I am so thankful I finally made the decision to do so. As a result, you get to experience the same bliss as I did the very moment I took the photo. The second and third images are from the streets of China Town. The second image from that day is one in which highlights so many elements the human eye does not see on a daily basis. I looked to the right of the Buddha picture and saw a huge Coca-Cola sign right behind the street name, Commercial with an end on top since the street was a dead end -- hence, END Commercial right below Coca-Cola! What a coincidence. The third is a Buddha mural in an alleyway – the vibrant turquoise color and the Buddha image caught my eye for sometime. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and images of Buddha’s are an absolute inspiration in themselves. China Town in San Francisco has been one of my favorite places to go explore and take pictures due to the dynamic elements of the environment!

I am in love with life and all those in it.
