My love for photography truly developed as my understanding and curiosity of this world expanded
and I began exploring as much as possible through my lens.
One of my favorite places to viist and photograph in the United States is San Francisco.
This city is so diverse, so expressive, so alive, so joyous, so welcoming and oh so much more!
I feel as if I discover something new about myself with each visit as so many emotions are continually evoked.
I travel there several times a year and always find new environments to explore with my camera.
Below are some of my favorite photos of San Francisco from 2011 and 2012. Enjoy!
This photo shoot holds a very special place in my heart!
I have had the privilege of watching these two lovely young ladies from birth till today!
I started babysitting for the Paulson family my first year of college when Sydney, the oldest (now 8) was only one and a half! A couple years later, I had the honor of watching
Sloane from before her birth and into the five year old she is today.
It has been so incredible watching these two get to know one another and really grow to love each other.
Like most sisters, they couldn't be more opposite, but one thing they do have in common is the ability to make one another laugh!
Our evening at the CAMP in Costa Mesa was filled with a lot of laughter, adventures and funky tacos!
I am truly so thankful for the families I meet during my photo shoots.
After doing a good friends photos of her and her son at El Dorado Park, Melissa saw those photos and so graciously contacted me inquiring about photos for her and her family!
After several emails, a date was set up for an evening at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.
I met Melissa, her husband Anthony and her rambunctious son Antony!
For a little over an hour, I chased Anthony around with my camera as he chased the squirrels around the trees! This shoot was such a blast because Melissa and her husband so incredible nice and thankful for the photo shoot AND little Anthony had me laughing and on my toes!
Below are some of the highlights from this lovely evening!
Melissa, thank you for the opportunity to meet and photograph you and your boys!
I look forward to seeing which image you select for your Christmas cards! Enjoy!
I had the honor of being on site for Low End Theory's Halloween Edition
with resident DJ's and special guest DJ Shadow! A special thanks to Erik from Sound Colour Vibration as he made it possible to be on site!
DJ Shadow (Josh Davis) is widely credited as a key figure in developing the experimental instrumental hip-hop style associated with the London-based Mo’ Wax label. Inspired by hip-hop’s early years, he then grew to absorb the heyday of crews like Eric B. & Rakim, Ultramagnetic MCs, and Public Enemy; groups which prominently featured DJ’s in their ranks. His true talents and love for hip-hop shined as the “special guest” for Low End Theory’s Halloween night as he took to the tables and worked his magic. If it wasn’t amazing enough, he then added in the drum pad to intensify the night and even more so blow the minds of those groovin’ in the crowd.
At one point, DJ Shadow took a step back from the tables simply to observe the crowd and take in all the energy around him. What an honor it was to witness him fully appreciating and respecting his audience. DJ Shadow goes the extra mile for his performances and the same was true on Wednesday night.

I had the privilege of photographing three of the most beautiful individuals I am blessed to know!
A couple weeks ago, the lovely Shelby and her two little ones Mila and Sage joined me at the El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach for a long afternoon walk.
Shelby, Mila and Sage played as I followed them,
documenting their radiance, divinity and passion for one another and life!
Mila is absolutely fearless -- wanting to jump, climb and explore all her surrounds.
Sage is a baby that you hold and never want to put down -- her presence is so warm, so pure, so loving.
These photos are some of my favorite moments I've had the pleasure of witnessing and sharing!
Shelby -- thank you for the incredible opportunity to be a part of your family and share these moments with you, Mila and Sage! The three of you are truly radiant beings!
I get SO EXCITED every time I get a photo sent to me from the
perspective of the individual getting their photos taken. Several weeks back,
I did a photo shoot with three of the most beautifully pure individuals I've had the honor of photographing.
This mother and her two children are so warm, welcoming and accepting!
Shelby -- thank you so much for sending me this photo!
This image perfectly sums up all the laughter, smilies and complete bliss that was shared during this shoot!
Photos from this shoot will be on the blog shortly :)
I am in love with life and all those in it.
