On Saturday, September 22, 2012 I had the honor of capturing the incredible
Betsy Thagard from B. Toffee LLC with dozens of local celebrities
ranging from movie to T.V. stars to football and basketball players
at the Emmy Gifting Suite the day before the infamous Emmy's!
It was the funniest thing to watch each and everyone come up and try the toffee!
Their reactions were priceless!
Check out B. Toffee and do yourself the honor of trying her toffee! It's the best!
Oh, what an honor it was to watch, witness and photograph Somaly Mam from the
documentary Half the Sky this past Friday evening at KPCC is Pasadena.
Half the Sky is a four hour PBS broadcast creating awareness and turning
oppression into opportunity for women worldwide!
I had tears in my eyes with each photograph I took as I listened to Somaly Mam so graciously talk about her experience as a twelve year old sex slave in Cambodia
and all she is doing to save young women and girls from this same experience.
In the past 7 years, Somaly Mam has rescued over 7,000 young women and girls from sex trafficking in Cambodia. I cannot stop thinking about the smile on Somaly's face as she talked about the importance of love, forgiveness, positivity and strength.
All aspects of life I hold so dear to my heart!
I am forever moved by this courageous woman and more inspired than ever by her words and strength!
I cannot get Larisha and Michael's grand entrance out of my head!
Oh my, was that one of the most epic grand entrances I've seen!
These two love to dance -- actually, all of guests at the weddings love to dance.
This night was filled with a dance floor packed with individuals dancing in-sync to almost
every song the DJ played! The day was consumed by much love, excitement and BLUE!
From the shoes to the eye shadow to the screens at the ceremony to the details on the tables!
Larisha and Michael -- Congratulations!
Thank you for the pleasant experience of being there with the two of you capturing
the blissful moments of your special day!
What a pleasure it was to follow these two around El Dorado park on a beautiful Sunday morning!
This little one was so intrigued by everything in the park - the pond, ducks, the trees
and all the grass he could possibly pick and throw!
Mama Jill - it was such a pleasure to meet your little guy and spend the morning with the both of you! :)
This photo shoot makes me smile!
It was the first time I got to play in the downtown alley ways of Long Beach!
We found this little nook between Congregation Ale House and Beachwood BBQ where the sun was shining perfectly and the wind couldn't have been a better addition!
This was also Amanda's first portrait shoot and did an incredible job posing and going with the flow!
Amanda -- thank you so much for your time and the opportunity to give you this beautiful portfolio!
I am in love with life and all those in it.
