These two. These two.
As you can see, I can’t help but share these, even if before sharing those from the day prior, on their wedding day.
This couple, these images, there is just so much specialness happening.
I met Erica and Luis many months back through a mutual friend.
We quickly scheduled an engagement session to occur in downtown Los Angeles at both the Walt Disney Concert Hall and LACMA.
Immediately, our laughter was shared, the moments, they were so comfortable and my goodness did they feel like old friends.
We stayed in contact after their engagement, me heading to South Africa,
them, planning away for their destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico.
This is where we were. Then one day. I received an email. They had tried to reach me on my American phone, but couldn't since I was out of the country and they wanted me to photograph their destination wedding in Cancun.
I just couldn't believe the message. Really? What? Are you sure? Are you serious?!?
We quickly scheduled a phone call, talked about arragenments and before I knew it, my fiancé was changing my flight so I could come home two weeks before originally planned and photograph their wedding.
And life continued to bless us forward. Creating timelines. Going over details for the day.
And of course, adding a trash-the-dress session!
So, here you have it.
The three of us spent the early evening, just before the sun was going to set.
First playing along the sand. Then slowing making our way into the water next to the very pier where they had their first look the day prior. Then, into the water it was. Inch by inch. Kiss by kiss.
These two. Their love. Their passion. Their thirst for adventure. Their souls.
I just cannot tell you how much I enjoy their presence
and capturing the very characteristics that brighten up one another's and their families lives.
Erica and Luis, thank you so much for the opportunity to capture both your wedding day and this epic trash-the-dress session.
I'm not so surprised, as I'm sure you're not either that I can't help but share these moments first.
My goodness, was this shoot, your wedding and the entire weekend so incredibly amazing.
Enjoy, you beautiful souls!
