I love meeting new clients and shooting at new dynamic locations.
And both of these, happened with this very family.
We met virtually and together, found the unique location of Grand Traditions Estate & Gardens in Fallbrook, California.
We spent a beautiful (and yes, hot) afternoon walking throughout the gardens,
stopping to take time capsules when most inspired.
This beautiful young lady was so excited to not only assist in picking out the locations,
but also learning how to take photographs with my camera.
I think Mom knows what she'll be asking for for her next birthday!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to create and share these moments with the three of you!
It was such a beautiful afternoon.
This beautiful dynamite of a woman, Niccole Hendrickson!
The founder and owner of Peak 8 Fitness,
a Colorado based mobile fitness company providing trainings, boot camps and corporate fitness
wrapped with Niccole's passion, love, drive, thirst for life, connection and motivation!
This session, was truly so inspiring as Niccole's vibrancy and authenticity shines physically though her smile
and even more so through her thoughtfully crafted words.
Although she's based in Colorado, we sure did have some fun along the coastlines of Southern California in Del Mar.
To see Niccole in action living out her passion, purpose and beautifully crafted profession,
check out her video "What Drives You?"
I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to connect
and create time capsules around someone so lovingly down to earth
with the mission to help uplift others by making them feel good inside and letting that radiate to the outside!
Thank you for this very opportunity! I am ever grateful.
A Welcome Home to Veterans and Family Day!
On Saturday, September 19, 2015, Veterans, their families, community members and representatives alike joined for a festival style gathering and the Los Angeles premiere of the new PBS film, On Two Fronts: Latinos & Vietnam at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes in downtown Los Angeles!
This was an event put on by PBS SoCaL, Impact Media Partners, La Plaza de Cultura y Artes,
the city of Los Angeles along with other amazing supporters
to bring awareness and gratitude to the Latino Vietnam Veterans.
The day was celebrated with live performances of dancers from all around Central and South America, speakers, spoken word artists, film producers, a combat photographer and so much goodness!
What a blessing it was to capture moments that will remain in beings heart and soul!
Below, some of my favorite time capsules created around community gathering, connecting, uplifting, remembering and supporting one another can be viewed.
Thank you to PBS SoCaL, Desiree at Impact Media Partners and all others involved
for this unique opportunity. I am ever grateful!
What can I say? With each session, I feel more and more blessed.
The ability to share, spread and create space allowing my passion to shine,
is a dream, an absolute dream that I live every single day!
I'm blessed to call these very beings within these time capsules, my family.
I photographed them the first time when Rex (my brother) and Chantel (his beautiful wife in the floral dress) got married back in June of 2013. We photographed Rex and Chantel's engagement and wedding portraits in this very spot, the of Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, California.
This time, it was time to photograph their entire family! And so, that's what we did.
What an amazing morning it was! We spent our time playing within the ancient trees that make up this space and eventually found ourselves down the cliff on the seaweed covered sand. Each photo reflects so much love and the unique personalities within each one of these beings!
Thank you so much, to all of you, for the opportunity to share such a wonderful morning with you creating these time capsules that will now always be a part of your existence!
What can I say?
Erica and Luis's love for another is absolutely infectious in the joyful giddy and giggly kind of way!
I met Erica over the phone via a referral from a friend and then met Luis the day of the session.
From the moment I met them, it was like we've known each other before.
We immediately started laughing with at in a friendly way, at each other!
The evening started at the Walt Disney Concert Hall (LA Phil) in downtown Los Angeles
as we played around the external makings of this intelligently designed building.
Then, found ourselves wondering into a local park with a waterfall sharing it's magic
and took time capsules while the sun was setting.
Just as night fell, we made our way to the Latin American Museum of Art (LACMA)
with their light pillars in front. Saturday night, well, it serves to be a bit hectic for engagement photos in such a well known space, but delightfully entertaining and worth it all!
Thank you so much Luis and Erica for allowing me to both create these ever lasting time capsules and share such a lovely evening with you and your love for one another!
These little cuties have made it to the blog!
One of the many aspects I love about my job and photography in itself,
is the honor to document families as they grow and expand.
I photographed Teyah, that day known as Millie nearly three years ago when she was her brothers age, just months before her first birthday. And now, her brother, their son, Jackson is just a few months before turning one and he's already walking around.
It was such a fun morning with the Madewell Family at Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad!
Thank you for the opportunity to take time capsules of both your beautiful babies
just before their first birthdays! It's been an absolute honor!
