"Yogalution is Movement for PEACE and CHANGE."
What an honor it was to spend "Dub Friday Goodness" with Dharma Shakti at Yogalution Movement
in Long Beach, California with a different perspective than that of my usually attended yoga class.
Years ago, Dharma hosted a fundraiser I held, raising money for my first adventure to Mafia Island, Tanzania
At that time, she won a photo session with Ashley Strong Photography.
Little ...did we know, I'd be traveling around The World for the next few years.
Time has a way of presenting precious resources when most meant to be
and the time had come to create time capsules around the work Dharma is doing as she is leading donation based yoga spreading a conscious revolution throughout Long Beach!
Yogalution Movement makes yoga accesible to ALL, regardless of your financial situation. Their yoga instructors are not just teachers, they are PEACE AMBASSADORS. Most importantly, their desire is to inspire you, to tap into your greatness, your authenticity, not only that on your mat, but out in the world!
Thank you for being you, allowing me to create these time capsules and for all you do for the Long Beach Community and beyond. You are a true inspiration.
Did you know that 31% of California school aged children are obese and
chronic heart disease, stroke, and diabetes are respectively the #1, #2, and #6 cause of death in LA County?
This, is, sadly true.
But, luckily, one of Long Beach's newest nonprofits, SugarWatch
celebrated their soft launch just last week at Beach Streets in Long Beach, California
bringing awareness to harsh realities such as these ones.
SugarWatch's mission is to provide opportunities and education for individuals and communities to make choices
that improve their quality of life through greater nutrition and healthier living.
Learn more about them here and search #reclaimhealth.
Also, enjoy some time capsules from their soft launch
as they provided locally sourced fruits and vegetables to community members.
I don't if I could eat up this little SIX month old anymore. She is so precious!
The morning, spent at Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad, California couldn't have been more beautiful.
Firstly, Leo Carrillo is a photographers dream with the many locations, historic buildings and fascinating colors.
The clouds lifted just as we pulled up,
the peacocks were mating and in abundance,
Baby E was so joyously excited and loving the camera
and mom and dad were unbelievable in keeping her entertained
AND letting me experiment with "fun" (probably not the safest) poses!
What a beautiful way to spend Sunday morning.
Thank you so much to this lovely family. I truly hope you enjoy these time capsules as much as I did creating them.
