These two and their intertwined international love have pulled on heartstrings so close to home.
When I read their inquiry, I just giggled as I couldn't reply fast enough.
Had they read mine and Dan's story as we had been through the same exact thing just a few years prior?
Is the universe this divine with bringing together souls that truly get one another? You better believe.
These two have been diligently working through their K-1 Fiancé visa process.
If you know about it, you most definitely know about it.
If you don't, my friend, it's a very lengthy process of getting your spouse from another country into the United States where you then have 90 days to marry in order for them to stay here.
It's long. It's hard. It's a lot of paperwork. A lot of money. It's a lot of waiting, trusting and unknowing.
What is known, is that is will eventually enable two very in love souls to be together, in the same country, at the same time. No getting back on a plane, no more constant good-byes, no more wondering when is the time to be together, will only be in the now. When we did their engagement session, I was truly in awe of their love and dedication as I knew that immense, we'll-do-whatever-we-need-to-do-to-be-together energy.
Because, really, when you love someone that much, you will.
Alaina and Shay, it's been such an honor getting to know you and document this part of your journey!
I cannot wait till your both in the States and we can document your wedding!
I promise you both, the time will be here before you know it!
